Merrick designer featured in national magazine

Marlaina Teich, an interior designer who founded the Merrick-based company Marlaina Teich Designs, was recently featured in the November issue of Better Homes and Gardens.

Teich, who lives in Merrick with her husband and three children, explains in the article why golden yellow is this season’s “cozy color,” and how to best incorporate the color into your home.

“Whenever I can, I try to put a hint of the wall color on the ceiling,” Teich says in the article. “It makes the room feel more complete.”

Teich received her degree from the Metropolitan Institute of Interior Design, and has since had her projects featured on WNBC-TV and WPIX-TV. She is also a member of the American Society of Interior Designers.
