The venue will hold a capacity of 1,500, including a stage, standing area, and loge and balcony seating. “[Westbury] needs this type of incredible place that can draw 1,500 people a night into a downtown area and basically breathe new life into it,” Michael said.
At the ribbon cutting next week, Michael and Hakakian will be joined by County Executive Ed Mangano, Westbury Mayor Peter Cavallaro, executives from Bowery Presents, and members of the Greater Westbury Arts Council.
“A theatre like this can take a whole downtown area and raise its profile 1000 percent,” said Michael. Adding, “There are going to be people coming to downtown Westbury who haven’t been there in years.”
