Rockville Centre starts digging out
John Maher/Herald
Kevin Conway shoveled snow from the walk on his Lakeview Avenue home.

Snow or no, life goes on.

With the storm beginning to pass, people in Rockville Centre got to work clearing away the snow. The storm dropped about seven inches of powder on the village, based on unofficial snowfall estimates from the National Weather Service.

Fortunately (or not) for students, schools were already closed today for the end of the winter recess, so the storm had no impact on classes. The public library will open at 1 p.m. today.
