The South Shore Symphony Orchestra will perform at Molloy College’s Madison Theatre in Rockville Centre on Nov. 23 at 8 p.m. with guest conductor David Bernard and soprano Tamra D’Ann Paselk. The program features Dvorak’s 8th Symphony, selections from Bizet’s Carmen Suite No. 1, and Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Overture.

Known as the energetic and incisive Music Director of New York City’s Park Avenue Chamber Symphony, Bernard has performed in more than 20 countries on four continents — including a nine-city tour of the People’s Republic of China with the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony and numerous guest conducting appearances — and is a two-time winner of the American Prize in Conducting.

Paselk is a managing director and partner at Purple Threads Ensemble, and has entertained audiences worldwide with her unique interpretations of both new and classic characters. She has been featured with Gilbert and Sullivan groups in San Francisco and New York, and, more recently, in her own cabaret show.

Tickets are $18 for orchestra seating, $15 for seniors and Guild members, and $5 for students. For further information, call (516) 323-4444 or visit http://madisontheatreny.org.
