Comic Squad book club

West Hempstead Public Library Tuesday, July 12, 19 and 26 from 7:00pm-7:30pm. Join Miss Emily at the West Hempstead Public Library to read and chat about comics and also enjoy a snack! Sign up separately for 1, 2 or all 3 meetings. Comics will be 'Squish’ on July 12, 'Comic Squad’ on July 19, and 'A Sam & Friends Mystery’ on July 26. For grades 3-5. Connolly Station celebrates 20 years
280 Hempstead Avenue, Malverne Thursday, July 14 through Sunday, July 17. Connolly Station is celebrating 20 years in business, and is kicking off a weekend celebration with Guiness promotions and giveaways on July 14. DJ Dave will be making a comeback at 9pm on Friday night. On Saturday, July 16, Fat Chance feat. Mark Magliaro will be playing at 10pm. Dedication of 9-11 Memorial in Hall's Pond Park
Thursday, July 14, 7 pm
A memorial honoring West Hempstead residents who perished in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks will be dedicated in Hall's Pond Park. The general public is invited to participate in the ceremony.
