Arts on the Boardwalk returns to Long Beach

The City of Long Beach and Arts in the Plaza are co-hosting a Fine Art and Crafts Show on Saturday and Sunday, June 4-5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the boardwalk between Edwards and Long Beach boulevards. Artists will come together for a two-day outdoor show featuring a variety of handmade items from some of the most talented vendors in the area. Items include photography, paintings, sculpture, hand crafted jewelry, quilts, wooden items, personalized home décor and more. Food vendors will offer international cuisine and live music will be provided throughout the day.

Latin Jazz ensemble to perform at L.B. Library

On Sunday, June 5 at 2:30 p.m., the Steven Kroon Latin Jazz Sextet will perform at the Long Beach Public Library. The high-energy music consists of jazz, with a blend of Afro-Cuban and Brazilian influences, as the band has been performing for the past 10 years at festivals and venues.

L.B. Historical Society to host house tours

June is Heritage Month, as the Long Beach Historical and Preservation Society invites you to join them for their annual house tours on Sunday, June 5 beginning at 9 a.m. The approximately two-hour tours start at the bus terminal, near the train station, at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and 12 p.m. The owners of these homes will showcase their beautiful interiors in keeping with the original design of the houses. Reservations are secured with your check of $30, payable to The Long Beach Historical Society, P.O. Box 286, Long Beach, NY 11561. Please add a phone number, list preferred, times and number of people, as seating is limited. The tours conclude at the museum with refreshments and a new exhibit of Long Beach’s restaurants of old.
