Pancake Breakfast 

Island Park Kiwanis and the Island Park Chamber of Commerce team up for the annual Pancake Breakfast, June 5 at the Firemen’s Exempt Hall, 432 Long Beach Road, in Island Park. Breakfast begins at 8 a.m. and runs till noon. Adults are $5 and children under twelve are $3. The breakfast is open to the public.

Big Hero 6 - Sensory Friendly
June 3 at 7 p.m. The special bond that develops between plus-sized inflatable robot Baymax, and prodigy Hiro Hamada. Rated PG. The library offers this movie under “Sensory Friendly” conditions, so families can enjoy a film in a safe and accepting environment.

Oceanside Library, June 5 at 1:30 p.m. The former World Heavyweight Champion Rocky Balboa serves as a trainer and mentor to Adonis Johnson, the son of his late friend and former rival Apollo Creed.  Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone star. Rated PG-13.

Ripe for the pickin’
It's strawberry festival time once again. The 2016 version of the Nassau County Strawberry Festival, sponsored by the Bellmore Kiwanis and Lions clubs, features strawberry delights, and carnival rides and attractions, including live entertainment, It’s on the grounds of Bellmore BOCES School in North Bellmore. It’s a bug’s life
Buzz on over to Long Island Children’s Museum for a creepy, crawly adventure, on Sunday. The museum has teamed up with Lynbrook-based Arrow Exterminating for another installment of its Bug Bonanza.
