On behalf of the Rockville Centre Chamber of Commerce and the Rockville Centre Lions Club, chamber officer Paul Cronen, far right, presented a check to Mayor Mary Bossart and Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tony Brunetta for the purchase of food, including turkeys, for needy local families during this holiday season.
The Recreation Center, under the auspices of Mr. B., will continue to accept food donations up until Dec. 23 to assist with additional meals for those in the community who are less fortunate.
Donations may be dropped off at the Recreation Center, 111 N. Oceanside Road, from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. every day except Sunday.
