The village’s Recreation Center's annual Kids Fest Open House drew a large crowd last Saturday, on a partly cloudy afternoon.
From noon to 4, families visited the Rec Center and enjoyed refreshments, give-aways, pony rides and other attractions. Representatives from the village's sports organizations were there, as were the Rockville Centre Fire and Police departments, the Post Office, Library, Guild for the Arts, Lions Club and many other local organizations. The Nassau County Police Department returned and once again landed a helicopter in the Rec Center’s parking lot for kids to inspect and sit inside.
