The Lakeview Library partnered with the Nassau County Guardians Association and county Legislator Robert Troiano for a Black History Month celebration on Feb. 26. This free storytelling and cultural workshop, featured poetry and storytelling from author Donna Washington.Cultural dances were performed by Cashel Sapphire and “ProsKuneos Kids.” The Lakeview Girl Scouts and Voices of Virtue sang some traditional favorites.
Though Black History Month is over, celebrate it all year long by browsing the library’s black heritage collection.
