A Merry Christmas to South Carolina

Posted

Members of the local Ruth Floyd Woodhull chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution met on Dec. 5 to fill Christmas stockings for the girls who live in the New York State Cottage at the DAR-sponsored Tamassee School in Tamassee, S.C. The nonprofit school, established in 1919 and recognized by the NSDAR in 1924, educates and boards troubled girls. Members donated small handmade articles, pencils, socks, gloves, small books, etc. to fill stockings for girls between 7 and 10.  The package was mailed and will be under their tree on Christmas morning.
