A new place to play in Merrick

A new playground recently opened at Julian Lane Park in Merrick. The state-of-the-art, multi-activity play structure features slides, climbers, tubes and game stations, as well as an ultra-modern safety surface intended to cushion any fall and prevent possible injury. Above were Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray, sixth from left, South Merrick Community Civic Association President Joe Baker, seventh from left, and community members to cut the ribbon on the new playground.
