Holy Trinity High School junior Kayleen Freyre, of West Hempstead, took second place in the New York "Voice of Democracy" essay contest. The theme of this year's contest was the students of today and their future role in society. The essay was to be based on how their role in American society is constantly changing and had to include their feelings on this generation leading the United States in a new age.
