The Lynbrook Community Chest Mayor’s Golf Outing was held on May 14 at the Seawane Club in Hewlett Harbor. The event honored Anthony (Zemo) DeCarlo Jr. . Richie Renz, and Howie Ryder. It was co-sponsored by the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce, and the proceeds will benefit the Lynbrook Community Chest.

The Lynbrook Community Chest is a charitable organization with the sole purpose of providing assistance to residents of the Lynbrook Community who are in need of help due to financial or economic hardship reasons. Since its inception, the Lynbrook Community Chest has donated over $23,000 to numerous families. These families are not required to return the monies but, because of the nature of these donations, several have attempted to help others the way that they were helped.

Members of the Community Chest include Chairwoman Laura Ryder, Rina Beach, Rose Marie Curran, Jenny Atkinson, Lynn Curtis, Cathy Bien and Stephen Haramis. Members of the Lynbrook Golf Committee include William Hendrick, Alan Beach, Bill Gaylor, Jeff Greenfield, Stu Neufeld, Pat McDermott, Harold Reese, Carol Burak, Allison Shapiro and Bill Albergo.
