Residents of Rockville Centre’s West End community were joined by Mayor Mary Bossart and representatives of the police department including Det. Michael Norwood and Code Enforcement Officer Bob Nugent, for a chance to meet and greet their neighbors and enjoy a beautiful afternoon outside the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center on Aug. 21.
The festivities included food, treats and drinks, as well a number of activities for children — face painting, a real choo-choo train and a bouncy blow up ride. Members of the community will have another opportunity to come together again this Saturday, at the Old Mill Court cookout.
