Oceanside confronted a serious problem on June 23 with a forum on drug addiction and abuse at the Oceanside Library. Among the people who spoke were former heroin addict Steven Dodge and his mother Lorie, Nassau County Police Dectective Pam Stark, Oceanside School Assistant Superintedent Rob Fenter, Oceanside Counseling Center Social Worker Francesca Rizzo, and Paula Pontrelli from the Nassau County Office of Mental Health and Chemical Dependency.
