Enjoy some great oldies tunes when “‘Looking for an Echo’ – The Sound of Doo Wop and Rock ‘n’ Roll” visits Hofstra University’s John Cranford Adams Playhouse on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. The evening includes performances from a line-up of some of early rock ‘n roll’s best: The Brooklyn Bridge, The Del-Satins, The Clusters and Tony Ferrari’s Chaperone Salute, and The Midlife Crisis Band. “The show will pay tribute to the tradition that is known as doo-wop as well as the early origins of rock ‘n’ roll and the music of the 1950s, the ‘60s and even the early ‘70s,” said Hofstra Entertainment Executive Producer Bob Spiotto. Tickets are $30, $25 seniors and $20 students: available at (516) 463-6644.
