Assemblyman Brian Curran encourages all of his constituents to support the 25th annual Tobay triathlon and his efforts for Wounded Warrior Project.

“The mission of the Wounded Warrior Project is to honor and empower wounded members of the military,” Curran said in a written statement. “The project raises awareness and enlists the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members; helps injured servicemen and women aid and assist each other; and provides unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs.”

Curran will again be a sponsor, competing in the Wounded Warrior triathlon that starts at 6 a.m. this Sunday at Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park in Oyster Bay.

“These injured service members are heroes to whom we have a debt of honor and gratitude to repay,” Curran said. “The Wounded Warrior Project takes a step toward making life for those who were injured serving this country just a little easier. It is my hope that we get a strong local turnout to show our community’s commitment to supporting injured veterans.”

Those looking to contribute or attend are encouraged to call the assemblyman’s office at (516) 561-8216 or e-mail him at curranb@assembly.state.ny.us.
