Attempted robbery at Valley Stream store

Police are seeking the man who attempted to rob a convenience store in Valley Stream Monday night. According to police, a man came into 24/7 Food Mart on West Sunrise Highway on July 19 at 11:25 p.m. armed with a handgun and demanded cash from the 56-year-old clerk.

When two customers entered the store, the suspect fled without any proceeds. He is described as a black male with a thin build in his 40s, wearing jeans, black shoes and a white T-shirt with an organge shirt under it.
