Bevon Campbell III spent many holidays with his Mercy Hospital family: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Eve/Day. Today, after spending over four months (133 days) in Catholic Health's Mercy Hospital Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Bevon went home just in time for Valentine's Day with his true loves: his mom and dad.

Bevon was born at the Rockville Centre hospital on September 21 at 27 weeks and weighed 2lbs 3oz. His mom Camille, of Jamaica, Queens, suffered from preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome, a pregnancy complication that affects the blood and liver and treatment usually requires delivery of the baby. Today, Bevon weighs a healthy 9lbs.

The teams that cared for Bevon over the past four months include Dr. Swarna Devarajan, director of neonatology; Dr. Jordana Hannam, attending neonatologist, Dr. Baraa Allaf, chair of maternal-fetal medicine; Dr. Godwin Onyeike, OBGYN; the bevy of nurses and techs, and much more.
