Baldwin Bank of America robbed

Detectives from the First Squad reported yesterday that the Bank of America location at 792 Atlantic Ave. in Baldwin was robbed at 12:52 p.m. The unidentified male suspect was caught on surveillance video and was described by police as a black man in his 30s, around five-feet, eight-inches tall and wearing a blue knit cap, a dark jacket, sunglasses, a plaid scarf and beard. The suspect approached a bank teller brandishing a silver handgun and took an undetermined amount of money before fleeing the bank through the west-side door. He then ran towards Grand Avenue. There were five employees and one client in the bank during the robbery, but no one was harmed.
