Baldwin man arrested for credit union robbery in Lynbrook

A Baldwin man was arrested on Feb. 13 at 12:01 p.m. after fleeing the scene of the Bethpage Federal Credit Union where he allegedly stole an unknown amount of money.

According to detectives, Gordon Pierre Delva, 28, walked into the credit union, at 613 Sunrise Highway, and gave the teller a demand note. The teller then gave Delva an undisclosed amount of money and he ran away on foot.

Lynbrook police officers located Delva near Langdon Place and Peninsula Boulevard a short time later and he was arrested without incident. He is charged with third-degree robbery, and is scheduled to be arraigned today at the First District Court in Hempstead.
