Baldwin MS welcomes new principal

Timothy Maher has been appointed Principal of the Baldwin Middle School. He will replace interim principal Jack Lensen. Prior to the appointment, Maher was employed as assistant principal for the Selden Middle School and also served as a district coordinator, guidance counselor and basketball coach for Bellport Middle School.

Maher holds a B.A. in Communications and a master’s degree in School Counseling from Hofstra University and a School District Administrator Certificate from the College of New Rochelle. “The Baldwin School District is known throughout Long Island for its richness of cultures and the diversity of its students,” Maher said of his new post. “It is an honor to be appointed the Principal of Baldwin Middle School. In the time since my appointment, I have come to respect the immense pride that the staff, students and parents have in the community.”
