Local bar hosts Thanksgiving dinner

On Nov. 26 The Beach House on West Beech Street opened its doors to about 40 people for its first Thanksgiving dinner buffet.
"Times are tough for people," said bar co-owner Ben Freiser. "For one day we just wanted people to enjoy something and not have to worry about going into their pockets."
Freiser said with the bar's full kitchen they were able to make a complete Thanksgiving meal that included turkey, potatoes, vegetables and stuffing. Football games and parades were shown on the bar's TVs while holiday music played in the background.
Considering the event a success, Freiser said he plans on organizing another of its kind next year.
