Bellmore-Merrick EMS celebrates 40 years of service

The Bellmore-Merrick Emergency Medical Services unit recently held its 40th anniversary dinner at Manor East Catering in Massapequa. At left were Capt. Todd Haiken, 2nd Assistant Chief Robert Barr, President Brad Reiter, Chief Christopher Benes, Nassau County Legislator Joseph Scannell, 1st Assistant Chief Scot Resnik, Lt. Rebecca Reilly and Capt. John Heide, with Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray and Town Clerk Mark Bonilla. Eli and Susanne Kraut and Alan Cohen helped sponsor the event, and Kosher Emporium of Plainview provided hot dogs and a grill.
