Bethany House to host golf and tennis outing

Bethany House of Nassau County will hold its 16th annual Golf and Tennis Outing on July 23 at the Tam O’Shanter Golf Club in Brookville. The day will include a full roster of activities: golf and tennis tournaments, brunch, pool, outdoor lunch, cocktail party and buffet dinner. Prices start at $150 for cocktails and dinner only, $400 for golf and $250 for tennis. Sponsorships are also available.

This year’s outing honors Rockville Centre resident Steven DiMare, owner of Unified Window Systems, Inc., in Hempstead, for his many years of support and personal generosity to Bethany House. DiMare believes that what makes Bethany House so special are the caring people who work hard and give so much of themselves to help others. He says that it is gratifying to be involved with such a special cause.

Live and silent auctions will certainly appeal to golfers as participants can vie for golf threesomes or foursomes to such coveted and famous courses as Trump International, Liberty National Golf Course, Metedeconk National, PGA National Resort & Spa, Westhampton Country Club and the Medalist.

A drawing to win a luxury vacation for four to Tuscany will also take place. Only 250 tickets at $200 will be sold for the chance to win a six-night stay at a five-star farmhouse complete with round-trip business class airfare for four, car rental, and six bottles of wine. You do not have to be present to win.

Bethany House is dedicated to improving the lives of homeless women and children. Its five residences provide safe, supportive emergency housing and a comprehensive range of additional programs and resources to support families and return them to self-sufficiency. Bethany’s homes are located in Baldwin, Bellmore and Roosevelt, and can serve up to 85 people nightly.
