The keynote speaker for the event was Rockville Centre resident Ted Bunch — activist, educator and co-founder of A Call To Men: The National Association of Men and Women Committed to Ending Violence Against Women. Bunch is recognized both nationally and internationally for his expertise in organizing and educating men in the effort to end violence against women. He is dedicated to strengthening community accountability to end all forms of violence against women.

Integral to the conference was Victoria’s Story: Be a Voice Not an Echo. Molloy student Victoria Sadicario spoke about her personal experience with relationship violence. The event also featured remarks by Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice on the subject of relationship violence.

“I’ve focused on the prosecution side of domestic violence, but as I mentioned and as you know from everyone here, it’s not just about punishing the bad guys,” Rice said. “It’s about protecting victims, about making them whole, and helping them lead happy and productive lives free from violence and abuse.”

The Partner Project at Molloy College is dedicated to ending the silence associated with relationship violence through education, training, and responsible action.
