Posted

Lynbrook firefighters and medical personnel responded on Wednesday, March 16 at approximately 5:30 p.m. to a reported vehicle into a pole on Forest Avenue south of Sunrise Highway.

The department under the command of First Deputy Chief Michael Hynes responded with the Exrication Team and the Emergency Medical Company.

At the scene, firefighters found the driver sitting in his vehicle suffering cuts and a hip injury. Because of the hip injury firefighters were forced to use the cutting tool to remove the driver’s door so that the driver could be safely removed to a stretcher. He was then transported by the Medical Company ambulance to the hospital.
