The village hosted a Black History Month celebration at the Community Center last Saturday. Children were able to take part in an interactive drum performance by Layla’s Drum and Dance Company, located on Rockaway Avenue. Then, a performance by Napolean Revels-Bey music paid tribute to the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation.
