Central educators help feed the hungry

A group of Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District educators traveled to the First Congregational Church in Far Rockaway on Thanksgiving morning to help feed homeless and low-income residents of New York City housing projects on Thanksgiving.
Cedarhurst-based Rock & Wrap It Up, a nonprofit food-recovery organization, sponsored the annual Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. In addition, each attendee of the dinner left with a basket full of food to last through the weekend.
