Chabad of the Five Towns CTeen program begins another year

The Chabad of the Five Towns is gearing up to launch another year of CTeen on Aug. 23 with a trip to Six Flags. CTeen is a worldwide club that strives to engage Jewish teenagers in Jewish pride and identity.

Student leaders from Hewlett and Lawrence high schoolsl, Lawrence Woodmere Academy and Woodmere Middle School have lined up trips, activities and monthly community service opportunities.

There are two divisions of the program: CTeen Junior, which includes grades six through eight, and CTeen, which includes grades nine through 12. There are more than 500 CTeen chapters in 20 countries across six continents.

“At CTeen, we believe in the power of youth, and what we offer is a means of channeling that power in a positive and uplifting way,” directors Rabbi Meir Geisinsky and Hadassah Geisinsky stated.
