Light Rain Chamber send out love to moms

Three local moms, Colleen Cashman, second from left, Bernadette Greenwald, seated, and Jeanne Trantel, second from right, were winners of a Mother's Day contest. They were joined by Margarita Fox, far left, Yndiana Seltzer and Larry Siegel from the Rockville Centre Chamber of Commerce which sponsored the competition.

The Rockville Centre Chamber of Commerce sponsored a Mother’s Day contest to honor a special person. Students sent letters explaining why they were so proud of that individual. The mothers described in the best entries received gift baskets donated by participating Chamber members. First prize went to Jeanne Trantel, second prize to Bernadette Greenwald and third prize to Colleen Cashman.
