Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos will be hosting his first live “Virtual Town Hall Meeting” on Aug. 23 to discuss the County’s finances and is inviting everyone to participate. The Meeting will commence at noon and continue until 2 p.m.
Maragos urges everyone to join him to discuss Nassau County's finances or to offer your suggestions on how to make government more efficient.
“For the first time ever, anyone can go to our website and ask questions concerning their tax dollars or report waste in government,” Maragos said. “Nassau County, like the rest of the country, is trying to cope with this recession and bad economic time. The point of this live ‘Virtual Town Hall Meeting’ is to give taxpayers the opportunity to get direct answers and to air their views.”
