Crime Watch: Lynbrook, East Rockaway

Arrests
On March 2 at 6: 30 p.m., a 19-year-old South Ozone Park man was arrested for shoplifting while at Pathmark located at 492 Atlantic Ave. in East Rockaway.
On March 7 at 9:40 p.m., a 19-year-old Lynbrook man was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Watkins Place.
At 9:40 p.m. on March 7, a 19-year-old Lynbrook man was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Wakins Place.
On March 7 at 9:40 p.m., a 19-year-old East Atlantic Beach man was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Watkins Place.
A 32-year-old Inwood woman was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation (warrant) on Peninsula Boulevard on March 8 at 3:19 a.m.
 On March 8 at 10:19 p.m., a 36-year-old Keansburg, NJ man was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to stop at a stop sign on Lakeview Avenue.
At 3:34 p.m. on March 9, a 21-year-old Valley Stream man was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and resisting arrest on Roosevelt Avenue.
On March 11 at 1:45 p.m., a 23-year-old Lynbrook man was arrested and charged with uninsured motor vehicle (warrant) on Earle Avenue.
A 22-year-old Brooklyn woman was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Sunrise Highway on March 12 at 12:01 a.m.

Criminal mischief
Between March 3 at 10 p.m. and March 4 at 10 a.m. an unknown person(s) scratched various parts of a vehicle while it was parked on Alexine Avenue in East Rockaway.
Between March 2 at noon and March 5 at 9 a.m. an unknown person(s) caused damage to the driver’s side door, front quarter panel, and hood of a vehicle while it was parked on Denton Avenue in East Rockaway.
At 6:30 p.m. on March 6, the complainant reports that their cell phone was damaged on Davison Avenue.

Identity theft
On March 8 at 12:30 p.m., the complainant reports that an unknown person(s) opened a credit card account using their name and charged $564 to the account.

Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle
At noon on March 10, the complainant, Avis Car Rental located at 55 Sunrise Hwy., reports that their auto, a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, was rented on Dec. 26, 2011, and never returned by the customer.
