East Rockaway company named 'Contractor of the Year'

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) named R.A. Krendel Contracting, Inc. of East Rockaway the 2012 Northeast Regional Contractor of the Year (CoTY) in the Category of Residential Kitchen $40,000.00- $80,000.00 in it’s annual awards competition.

Bob Krendel, president of the company was thrilled to win his first Regional Award. “It is really an honor to be recognized by experts in your field.” Bob is celebrating his 30th year in residential remodeling this year so the award is especially sweet. “The award belongs to all of our employees who bring a high level of professionalism to their jobs every single day” says Bob.

Contractors from seven regions around the country vie for CoTY Awards each year and all regional winners are now eligible for the National CoTY Awards. National winners will be announced at NARI’s “Evening of Excellence” on April 21, 2012 in Dallas, Texas, which Bob and Veronica Krendel plan to attend.

Competing projects were completed between July 1, 2010 and November 30, 2011. An impartial national panel of judges, all experts in the remodeling industry and associated fields, selected each winner based on “before and after” photographs and project descriptions. Judges focused on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation.

NARI represents an elite group of professional remodelers who must subscribe to a stringent code of ethics. It is the only trade association dedicated solely to the remodeling industry.
