Mostly Cloudy Elementary districts schedule building tours
District 13 will hold its annual building inspections on Saturday, Dec. 7. The program begins with coffee and refreshments in the James A. Dever School cafeteria at 8 a.m. At 8:20 a.m., there will be a welcome by Board of Education President Sean Douglas, followed by an overview of capital projects by Meredith Brosnan, assistant superintendent for business.
The tour of the James A. Dever School will be held from 8:30 to 9 a.m., followed by the Wheeler Avenue School from 9:10 to 9:40 a.m., the Howell Road School from 9:50 to 10:20 a.m., and the Willow Road School from 10:30 to 11 a.m. A meeting will follow in the district board room.

District 30 building tour
Valley Stream District 30 residents are invited to join the Board of Education and administration to tour the district’s school buildings on Saturday, Dec. 14 to view recently completed and upcoming capital projects, as well as those proposed for the 2014-15 school year.
The tour will begin at the Forest Road School at 8:30 a.m. then continue to Clear Stream Avenue School and end at Shaw Avenue School. Visitors are welcome to come to one or all of the schools for an opportunity to view the facilities.
