First snow of season hits South Shore

Snow coated with sleet by later today

Posted

The first snow of the season hit our area early this morning, and is expected to leave four to five inches of snow. Rain may mix with snow later today, making for very hazardous driving conditions. Wind gusts could reach 25 MPH, with temperatures around 30 degrees.

"At least it didn't happen on a weekday," said resident Linda Bakal. "I have appointments today, but going to work would have been a nightmare."
