A fish delivery truck was on fire outside of 322 Peninsula Blvd. by Oxford Place in Cedarhurst on Feb. 28, police said.

The apartment building was evacuated, but no one was injured. The call came in at 3:33 p.m. and a short time later the responding firefighters, including the Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department and several other departments extinguished the fire.

Traffic was closed on Rockaway Turnpike near Costco in Lawrence for nearly two hours, then there were residual delays through that Wednesday’s rush hour.
