Summer has arrived in Freeport. On June 20, the annual Hudson Anglers Shark Tournament was held at Cow Meadow Park. It drew dozens of participants and thousands of spectators to see who would catch the biggest fish.
Then on July 2, Freeporters returned to the waterfront, to celebrate the July 4th holiday with a concert along the Nautical Mile followed by a fireworks display.
