Friends of Bridge to honor pair

Friends of Bridge, Valley Stream’s drug and alcohol addiction counseling center, will hold its annual fundraising brunch on Sunday, March 27, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the VFW Hall, located at 65 E. Merrick Road. Sharon Daly, at left, a lifelong Valley Stream resident and president of the Green Hornets football league, will receive the Bridge Builder of the Year Award. Edward Donoghue, a volunteer firefighter in Valley Stream since 1984 and former department chief, will be presented with the Service to the Community Award.
