Frosting fun at Forest Lake

Kindergartners at Forest Lake Elementary School got a taste of the holidays, literally, as they built gingerbread houses on Dec. 11.
The creations were mostly edible. Starting off with a small milk carton as a frame, each child then coated it in icing and stuck on graham crackers for the walls. From there, decorating the houses was left to their imaginations. Each table had bowls of candy and other snacks, and creations ranged from simple to elaborate.
Each child also welcomed a parent or guardian to help them build. The finished products were then wrapped so children could take their creations home.
