Remembering the dream:
More than 2,200 student athletes from public and parochial schools throughout County gathered at Nassau Community College on Monday to honor the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday with the annual Friendship Games, sponsored by the Lakeview Youth Federation and the Malverne Union Free School District.

Some 2,200 student athletes from public and parochial schools across Nassau County united on Monday, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, to honor King and humanitarians by holding its annual Friendship Games, sponsored and organized by the Lakeview Youth Federation and the Malverne school district. Students came together at Nassau Community College, in the face of friendship and peace, to compete in track and field meets for several hours.
