Long Beach enjoyed beautiful weather as the city held its 19th annual Fall Festival in Kennedy Plaza last weekend. The event featured numerous family activities including a pumpkin patch, puppet shows, a petting zoo, pony rides, haunted house, hay wagon and fire engine rides and other live entertainment.

Kids dressed up for the annual children’s costume parade on Saturday afternoon and marched from the Recreation Center down to Kennedy Plaza. Awards were handed out for best costume and other categories.

There was also a food and wine tent for adults with samplings from local businesses including Minnesota’s, Sugo, Himawari, Don Juan’s, The Atlantica, Season Pan Asian and the Point Lookout Deli/Whale’s Tale. Food vendors were also offering up international fare along Park Avenue near the plaza.

Live musical entertainment was provided by the Long Island Harmonizers Chorus and the Darlene Graham Band at the bandstand on National Boulevard.
