Another successful library day is in the books

Posted

A giggling gaggle of bubble boys (and girls) had some soapy fun at the BPL’s annual library day festivities last weekend. With concerts, magic shows, interactive exhibits and hands-on art projects available to young and old alike, Baldwin’s up-and-coming readers discovered there’s much more to the library than silent study time.

The Baldwin Public Library revoked its moratorium on chatter, outside voices and even outright shouting last weekend in celebration of its 11th annual library day. Concerts, a magic show, art projects and more were all on tap for a surging, giggling collection of book-worms-to-be who filled the BPL’s hallowed halls to bursting with their energy and laughter. The event lasted around three hours and many a colorfully-painted face was seen fighting sleep in the back seat of a departing car when the festivities came to an end.
