Healthcare workers help preserve monuments

Team members from Northwell banded together to clean military memorials at Silver Lake Park in Baldwin leading up to Memorial Day. The healthcare professionals power washed and scrubbed monuments, and planted shrubs and red, white and blue flowers. The healthcare colleagues are also members of two Northwell BERGs (Business Employee Resource Group). The VALORBERG brings awareness to military causes and the GreenBERG focuses on environmental concerns. "At Northwell our mission is to give back to the communities we serve,” said Paul Power, assistant vice president, workforce safety, Northwell Health. “What better way for our BERGs to give back at this special time of year when we honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of our great nation.
