Hempstead man injured in Oceanside tree-trimming accident

Frank Villegas, 63, of Hempstead is in serious but stable condition after an accident in Oceanside on April 5.

According to Nassau County police, Villegas was working on Foxhurst Road in Oceanside for a tree-trimming company on Monday afternoon when the chain saw he was using bounced off a tree limb and severely cut his arm. Reeling from the laceration, Villegas lost his footing and fell six to eight feet to the ground.

Villegas was transported to South Nassau Communities Hospital, where he is in serious but stable condition.
