Hispanic Brotherhood scholarship dinner set for May 2

On May 2, the Hispanic Brotherhood of Rockville Centre will be hosting its Annual Scholarship Dinner. 

This year’s honorees are Dr. George Santiago, Jr., president of Briarcliffe College; John Collins, president and CEO of Winthrop University Hospital; Cristina Velez, manager of Hampton Inn & Suites; Detective Michael Norwood of the Rockville Centre Police Department; Russell G. Fumuso, MD, FAAO; and George Maragos, Nassau County comptroller. There will also be a special presentation to Mary Lou Murray. 

The dinner will take place at Temple Avodah, 3050 Oceanside Road, Oceanside. Cocktail hour starts at 6:30 p.m. and dinner is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $120 per person. Proceeds from this event will support high school students who will be attending college in the fall as well as younger students enrolled in our After School Tutoring Program.
