The Oceanside Fire Department flew the American flag over the route for the Knights of Columbus’s Wounded Warrior Parade on May 1.

The Oceanside Knights of Columbus Father Joseph O’Connell Post held its second annual Wounded Warriors Parade on May 1.
The parade, and the reception that followed, was held in honor of wounded veterans and raised more than $35,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project, which aids wounded veterans returning home.
Oceanside residents lined the street for the parade, which went from St. Anthony’s Church to the Knights of Columbus hall, and town and county officials came out to honor the veterans.
