Last weekend, the Rockville Centre Basketball League held its annual tip-off, starting off its season with some exciting games.
Mayor Francis X. Murray threw out the first jump ball of the first game and officially started off the season.
The RVC Basketball League has more than 1,150 kids playing on nearly 120 teams spread across five different divisions. There are children from third grade all the way through their senior year of high school playing with the RVCBBL.
The league also commits to making sure that every player gets to play for at least half the game.
