Kellenberg senior headed to Drexel to play lacross

Devon O’Shaughnessy, of Merrick, a senior at Kellenberg Memorial High School, has signed a letter of intent to play women’s lacrosse for the Drexel University Dragons next year. Receiving both academic and athletic scholarships to the school, O’Shaughnessy plans to major in biology in hopes of becoming a physician’s assistant.

At Kellenberg, O’Shaughnessy is a member of the lacrosse and volleyball teams, and was named All-League in volleyball for the 2013 season. She is also a member of the National Honor Society, Athletes Cultivating Excellence, the newspaper club and Sodality, a faith-based organization that teaches about strong social values and the importance of helping others.
